After having our home designed by a local architect we submitted our design to his preferred builder and also a second company. The second company was S&S Timmer Constructions, recommended by a close friend. We met both builders, their respective timelines and costs came back very similar. However, Shane met us at his home where we could see the quality and type of build to expect. Shane came across as honest, sincere and friendly and we immediately felt that this was the person we would like to build our dream home.
Our build commenced towards the end of 2010 and was completed by March 2011. During the build Shane kept us informed of what was going on and we were always made extremely welcome onsite. Shane and his team went out of their way to accommodate any changes that we wanted and to add minor changes such as alcoves that would fit our pictures (copied from Shane's home). We felt he built our house with the same care and attention as he would building his own home.
We feel very lucky to have had Shane build our house and without a doubt, highly recommend S&S Timmer Constructions.

We first Shane on a building site at the Sunshine Coast in August 2011, while we were on holiday. At the time we watched in awe, while he and his team were building another Queenslander. Shane was incredibly welcoming and invited us to take a look. He explained the construction phase, building methods and materials used. We were very impressed with Shane's extensive building knowledge and delighted by his easy-going, yet professional manner. From this experience we knew, without a doubt, that we wanted Shane to build our house too.
We were delighted when Shane agreed to build our house, and construction began in August 2013. Shane managed every aspect of the building including coordinating the services of all the tradesmen that were required throughout the different stages of the build. Shane and his team displayed great dedication and commitment to the project and their exceptional craftsmanship was, and is, evident in their work. Shane always made it a priority to keep us informed on a daily basis to ensure that we were happy with the progress of the house and that each phase met with our expectations. We were able to make changes along the way, which was just one of the many benefits of the custom build and we had complete trust in Shane to deliver us a quality home.
We formed wonderful new friendships with Shane, his team and his family during the construction process, which was an unexpected, but delightful bonus.
Shane we would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you on your win in the Downs and Western Region Master Builders Awards 2014 Best Kitchen, Best Heritage Style Home and House of the year, for our home.
Shane, you constructed our house but you delivered us a home. It is a true testament to your character and work ethic, and your dedication and commitment to your craft.
Our home has exceeded all our expectations. We feel truly blessed and incredibly grateful.
